Design & Alteration Services

Design Consultation: Your costume should unify and visually enhance your performance. Our design staff incorporates style, function, color, and texture into the creation of each garment. We recognize the significance of music interpretation, choreography, message and group demographics to your show. Our service provides each director with a costume package including sketches, fabric choices, trim options, and pricing.* Customers traveling for consultation services may qualify for compensation for travel expenses. Call and ask for details on our Travel Reimbursement Program.

Irregular Sizing: At Coffield & Co., we outfit a wide array of shapes and sizes. Our design staff can help you select the best look for your specific needs. We offer a full range of sizes for boys and girls from pre-teen to young adult, ladies size 0 to women's size 32, and extra small men to big and tall. For extremely hard to fit individuals, we provide custom pattern making and cutting at an additional charge. This service minimizes future alterations and ill-fitting garments.

Alterations: Alterations to change the size or shape of a garment are billed at an hourly rate or on a flat fee basis for standard alterations.**

Repairs: In the event a garment is damaged, needs reconstruction, or hemming, repairs are available and billed at an hourly rate. When the original fabric or trim is no longer available, a suitable substitution will be recommended by our design staff.**

Sewing Services

Custom Hemming: Hemming and sleeve shortening can be provided for both new and used items. These alterations can be done by using an individual's measurements, or the customer may mark the garment at the desired hem. We strongly recommend a knowledgeable seamstress or tailor assist in taking measurements and marking garments. Hem styles include fish line, horsehair braid, single-fold, and merrow. Price may vary based on fabric, circumference of the hem edge, and the number of layers being hemmed.**

Contract Sewing: Our highly skilled production staff has years of experience. We offer custom cutting and sewing services for sizeable orders.**

Sourcing Services

Wholesale Fabric: You can purchase fabric by the roll for any project and save. We have a vast selection of fabrics at domestic wholesale prices for you to choose from. If you are looking for something more unique, you can choose the pattern and colors to have your own custom sequin fabric made.

Retail Fabric: Each year we are left with hundreds of yards of overstock fabrics available to purchase at 15% below retail price.

Notions (Wholesale & Retail): We have vendors for all types of notions such as Velcro, zippers, snap tape, interfacing, etc. Virtually anything you need to complete a project can be ordered. Contact us today to discuss your needs and find out what is available.

Trim (Wholesale & Retail): Our selection includes an endless assortment of sequin and beaded trims in many styles and colors as well as several types of fringe such as chainette, beadette, fancy beaded, and paillette. Most trims are made to order. Please allow four to six weeks for delivery.

Rhinestones (Wholesale & Retail): We carry a variety of rhinestones and Swarovski crystals in various sizes, shapes, and colors. Anything we do not have in stock can be ordered from our vendors. The acrylic rhinestones are ideal for adding intense color and texture to garments, while the crystal rhinestones create brilliant flash and sparkle under stage lights. You can choose from loose rhinestones that can be affixed individually, banded trims, buckles, buttons, and appliqués. We can also have custom rhinestone appliqués made to your specifications.
